News and Events:

News/Event "2/28/24.  The Madawaska Library has entered into partnership with the Aroostook Agency on Aging. The Library will become an AAA "Access Point"; a location hub for programs and classes provided by the agency. A recent recipient of $862,000 in Congressionally Directed Spending, the Access Points project is now poised to establish or strengthen local connections in Aroosttok County to services, consultation and meeting space, recreation, and enrichment. The AAA will eventually have regular service hours and special programs for local elders.

Equipment for the Access Point project has recently arrived, and as a benefit to the entire community, will be made available for any local non-profit/civic group to use for meetings and classes, to either receive or broadcast digitally over the internet.
